Week 7 NFL Power Rankings

32. Oakland Raiders (32)

The Raiders had a bye week, and are dismantling their team. There’s no upside on the horizon and no reason to believe the Raiders are anything but the worst team.

31. Arizona Cardinals (31)

The Broncos haven’t been playing well, but they looked like Super Bowl locks against these guys. Rosen has a lot to learn, but at this point they may as well be patient with him.

30. San Francisco 49ers (30)

To say the Niners got steamrolled by their NFC West rivals is being kind. The 49ers had just 228 total yards of offense and had more turnovers (four) than third-down conversions (three). Quarterback CJ Beathard was sacked seven times and will probably be having nightmares about Aaron Donald for months.

29. New York Giants (29)

It’s a true battle for who’s the worst NFL team, and the Giants did everything they could to take that 32 spot. They just need to stay on the same track and maybe they will reach that goal. They simply played the Falcons too close, so for now they are only 4th worst. TRY HARDER NY!!!

28. Buffalo Bills (27)

The Bills are still dangling on to a chance to be the worst, but they messed up and have 2 wins. They better stop winning or they won’ t have a top 5 pick, figure it out Buffalo. This week was a great start to staying in bottom, Allen really shouldn’t play the rest of the year, he’s this teams only chance of winning. But seriously, you don’t want to get Allen hurt again, let him learn and start fresh next year.

27. Indianapolis Colts (28)

Leave it to the Bills to make the Colts looks good. Luck is among the league leaders in touchdowns, but the defense holding Buffalo to 5 points is hopefully a boost. The next 5 games only have 1 team with a winning record and that against a shaky Miami team. On a good note, they could seriously go on a run.

26. Atlanta Falcons (28)

The Falcons moved up!! 2 spots…for barely beating the Giants. There’s some ranking out there that have Falcons in the top 20, they’re morons, these guys were one clock management decision away from losing. 2 wins in a row, my ass, these guys are an injury ridden mess. This was a legitimate playoff contender and that had some key injuries, but this is the worst 3 win team in the league right now.

25. Cleveland Browns (24)

The OT Kings, well maybe jesters, because they seem to lose the overtime. Good teams figure out ways to win, so its even more proof they have a ways to go. I’m honestly ready to blame the coach, it doesn’t seem like Hue Jackson has this team ready to play. At some point you finally have all this talent, there’s only one man to blame.

24. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (26)

It took a 59-yard field goal from Chandler Catanzaro (who missed from 40 at the end of regulation) to dispatch a feisty Browns team. The Bucs have a miserable defense and Winston turns the ball over a lot, that’s not a good combo. They are going to win more games because they can score loads of points, but also lose games because they can’t win the turnover battle. It will continue to be a season of mediocrity in Tampa.

23. NY Jets (21)

When the Jets are good, they’re good, but when they lose their flaws can be seen from space. Darnold’s knock out of USC was throwing picks, he did that 3 times against a really good Minnesota team, that a guaranteed lose right there.

22. Denver Broncos (24)

Yes, the Broncos destroyed the Cardinals, but it’s difficult to tell if that’s a function of Denver addressing some of their issues and improving or if it’s just that Arizona really is that bad. They get KC next week, @ KC, this could get bad.

21. Jacksonville Jaguars (14)

UMM, these guys were top 5, really shows how wild the NFL is. I was pro Bortles last year, but I’m off that wagon now. I’m all on the train for trading for Carr, give Oakland a 2nd rd pick. That’s the best chance at saving this season. Other options are trading for Tyrod Taylor, hell, Kap has to be better a option at this point. The defense has issues, but it could be something that winning again can help.

20. Tennessee Titans (20)

After falling behind 17-6 early in the third quarter, a Titans team that’s been stumbling of late rallied to get back in the game. A Marcus Mariota touchdown pass on fourth down with less than a minute left closed Tennessee to within an extra point of tying the game. But rather than kick that extra point, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel chose to go for a game-winning two-point conversion. It failed, and now the Titans will have two weeks to stew over the one that got away. I’m all for a coach going for it, as long as he can live with being the hero one week and the villain the next.

19. Dallas Cowboys (17)

This may be the lowest we see Dallas, the trade for Amari Cooper could be a game changer. They barely lost to the division leader Washington, this could give the Cowboys the extra swagger they’ve been missing. Giving up a first rounder may hurt in the long run, but this is a win now league.

18. Seattle Seahawks (18)

Seahawks had a bye week, they just need to do exactly what they were doing before the bye week.

17. Philadelphia Eagles (16)

Sound the alarm, the defending champs are no where near a playoff team. They have the talent to save this ship from sinking, but the boats taking on water. The issue…Wentz can’t get the ball off, the offensive line sucks. Next week in London is make or break for the entire season.

16. Detroit Lions (23)

Don’t look now, but the Lions are in a legitimate spot to make the playoffs. Rookie tailback Kerryon Johnson was outstanding. Johnson gashed Miami for 158 yards on 19 carries, this is the key to being a playoff team in Detroit.

15. Houston Texans (19)

What a difference a month makes. Four weeks ago, the 0-3 Texans looked to be on a collision course with a top-five draft pick. Now, after trouncing the Jaguars in Jacksonville for their biggest win of the year, the Texans are 4-3 and in first place by themselves in the AFC South. This is exactly the team we thought we were getting before the season started.

14. Carolina Panthers (15)

I want to put them back in the top 10, I really do, because they are good enough. I’m taking my time, but Carolina looks like a playoff team. They were outplayed most of the game against Philly, but like I said earlier,  good teams figure out ways to win.

13. Cincinnati Bengals (9)

Wow, talk about getting exposed. Cincy still can make the best out of this season, but after 2 heartbreaking loses (Pitt, KC) it makes you wonder if these guys are tough enough. The Bengals don’t get much time to lick their wounds: The team’s next three games are all against teams (Tampa, New Orleans, at Baltimore) with at least a .500 record.

12. Baltimore Ravens (6)

Ok fine, Brees finally beat the Ravens. In his career, Tucker had attempted 222 PATs. He had never missed. Ever. Not once. This isn’t Tucker’s fault though, the Ravens feel apart late and should have never had to depend on Tucker, the guy has had too many of these pressure situations. Just like a quarterback throwing an interception, even the best kickers miss. The reason that Baltimore fell out of the top 10 wasn’t because they lost to Brees, its because top 10 teams don’t fall apart on offense and defense at the same time.

11. Miami Dolphins (11)

I’m not moving the Dolphins…yet, but this team doesn’t look 4-2. They look 2-4, but winning is winning. Brock has his moments but this will end up just like Brock always does…in a lot of loses. Lets hope Tannehill comes back before that happens.

10. Chicago Bears (10)

The Bears are a weird one, they have allowed the least amount of points the the division, but sit in last place. Their loses are 3 close games, so if this team start winning the close ones then they will quickly reach the top of the division again.  They have the Jets, Lions and Bills in their next 3 games, so barring any slip ups, the Bears will remain in the top 10 until their Vikings matchup.

9. Pittsburgh Steelers (13) / 8. Green Bay Packers (12)

These guys get packed together, both had bye weeks, and moved up because other teams ahead of them simply deserved to get booted out of the top 10. Both teams are also together because they seem to be hitting their strides, just like they always seem to do.

7. Washington Redskins (8)

First place, just grinding out wins. They more than deserve the top 10, this division is all over the place, especially with Philly struggling. At this point, it would be shocking NOT to see these guys in the playoffs.

6. Minnesota Vikings (7)

The Vikings are moving back into top 5 talk, but the current top 5 has just flat out been better. Lets not forget Minny lost to Buffalo and had a close game against Arizona…people forget. The real test is a game next week against the Saints, win that then we take you seriously.

5. San Diego Chargers (5)

The Chargers are on cruise control, and in this case that’s a good thing. They have a favorable stretch of games and could even clinch a wild card, before they have to play KC again. Plus they keep winning, the division isn’t out of reach either, what a wild thought.

4. New Orleans Saints (4)

This team showed their grit and showed the NFL why they’re Super Bowl contenders. They squeezed out a game that not everything went right and beat another top team. Brees continues to break records, get them out of the Super Dome and they aren’t as explosive. From here things get really interesting for New Orleans. A trip to Minnesota for a playoff rematch next Sunday night, followed by a home date with the Rams, a trip to Cincinnati and a matchup with the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles. It’s gut check time.

3. New England Patriots (3)

The Bears pushed the Pats, but 2 weeks in a row, they squeak out a win. That’s what championship teams do. Not much to say here, its New England doing New England things.

2. KC Chiefs (2)

The Bengals were supposed to be the AFC’s 3rd best team…well the may have fell out of the top 5. The Chiefs dominated every aspect of this game and have now exposed 2 big contenders this year (Jaguars, Bengals). Sorry, Patriots, but KC is still the AFC team to beat.

1. LA Rams (1)

They dominated the 49ers, just like they are supposed to. They have Packers, Saints, Seahawks, and Chiefs, that’s an absolutely insane stretch. The Rams have looked unbeatable this year, but the next 4 weeks will show us who they really are.

NHL THUG ALL STARS

This is the current NHL all Thug team, a Thug can be many things and its not a bad thing…sometimes. There’s no criteria here, guys can be Thugs because of penalty minutes or Thugs because they are pest on the ice or in some cases, rats.

Head Coach- John Tortorella

Really? Who the hell else would it be, the guys a nut job. He would prolly just coach for free if he had this group of guys.

Line 1

LW- Milan Lucic

C- Evgeni Malkin

RW- Tom Wilson

Lucic has calmed down recently, but that’s because guys are too scared to go at him, his Boston years he was an absolute beast. Malkin is skillful and just dummies guys, plus ole Gino is a real beauty, he deserves top line status. Agree with him or not, Tom Wilson is a true enforcer and terrifies just about everyone…except maybe rival Ryan Reaves. With his looks and (literally) killer skill, Wilson is a modern day enforcer.

Line 2

LW- Evander Kane

C- Lars Eller

Rw- Ryan Reaves

Kane is an animal, and currently leads the league in PIMs, he has skills and isnt afraid to smash someone. When he’s at his peak, hes among the leagues elite. If you need to know why Reaves is here then just check the game notes, he may be one of the most fun guys to watch in the league. When he gets mad, he untouchable, a real throw back guy who can still play in today’s league. His rivalry with Tom Wilson would make people tune in just to watch practice. Lars Eller has really started to come into his own, he did get crushed this year by Marchand, but that hasn’t stopped him from chirpin everyone. He said the Maple Leafs “aren’t anything special” gotta love the savagery.

Line 3

LW- Pat Maroon

C- Michael Haley

RW- Brad Marchand

Maroon is just an old school tough guy who has adapted his game to be success in the new NHL, those guys are a rarity. Michael Haley led the league in PIM and was the only player over 20 fights last year. Before the season he entered the NHL/NHL Players Association assistance program, so lets hope everything is ok. The 8 year vet is deserving to be among the thugs. Marchand should probably be a top liner, a great talent that just can’t stop licking people, guy is psycho. If you know anything about hockey, then Marchand is an easy choice and prolly an Alternate Captain.

Line 4

LW- Matthew Tkachuk

C- Max Domi

RW- Antonie Roussel

Every full season in the league Roussel is over 100 PIM, that’s what he does, one of the leagues toughest guys. The other 2 guys on this line are the next generation and have learned from their fathers. Their thuggery has been well documented, but teammates love them, that’s the ultimate thug criteria.

Defense

PK Subban                                        Dustin Byfuglien

Travis Harmonic                             Kevin Bieksa

Rodka Gudas                                     Alex Petrovic

PK makes this team just like Geno, top tier talent, but not afraid to chip it up. He was among the top the league for defense-man last year in PIM, and can skate like the wind. Big Buff is obvious as it gets on this roster, he’s an absolute force, but still gets it done when he has to.  Harmonic has no problem dropping the mitts and his d partner (Bieksa) will super man punch anyone who steps up, this would be an all time tough guy d partnering. Rodka Gudas and Alex Petrovic aren’t as well known but both rack up the fights and PIM’s they are bottom defenseman who know their jobs.

Goalie

Ray Emery

This guy was an absolute legend and no current goalie can touch him. He would be the only goalie that could ever start for this squad. RIP

Amari Cooper to the Cowboys and Patrick Peterson wants out of Arizona

The Cowboys stunned everyone trading a first round pick for Amari Cooper. That gives Dallas a play maker and the Raiders, 3 first rounders and a lot of money of the books. Believe it or not this is a win win, especially since Oakland is in full rebuild. Hell, send Carr to Jacksonville…yea I said it, give the kid a fresh start.

The other news is, CB Patrick Peterson wanting to move out of Arizona, he is unhappy with the direction of the franchise. This would be a massive boost to a contender and there are a few that really need corner help. On paper it looks like KC is the best fit, scheme wise, but it sounds like he wants NOLA. The trade deadline could be waaaayyy more interesting than it has in the past.

Carlos Hyde Traded to the Jags..Fantasy Owners Scramble for Nick Chubb

The casual NFL fantasy owner (let’s call him Ted), is wondering why Frank just requested a trade for some Nick Chubb guy. “This guy has been on my bench all year, ESPN doesn’t even project him many points, sure ill trade him for Devonta Freeman!” Well Ted, you’re a damn moron, cause you just got played. Other leagues, Chubb may be a free agent, so owners across the country are taking bathroom trips to check and see their waiver wire position. Carlos Hyde is a hot commodity, but likely was already owned in most leagues, Chubb should be interesting for a struggling team to get a talented back. Hyde is owned in 94% of ESPN leagues, but Chubb is only owned in 20%. Hyde is a must start in Jacksonville, as well as Chubb in Cleveland. One trade has boosted 2 players to must fantasy start status, you don’t see that everyday.

NHL’s All Young Gun Team

4 Lines, 4 sets of D, 2 goalies, under 25. Those are the requirements. Players don’t have to be in their normal positions, there are so many young elite centers. You could easily make another whole team of young stars, the league is full of promising stars.

Line 1

LW- Filip Forsberg- NSH

C- Conor McDavid- EDM

RW- Patrick Laine – WIN

Line 2

LW- Jack Eichel- BUF

C- Auston Matthews- TOR

RW- Mitch Marner- TOR

Line 3

LW- Matthew Tkachuk- CAL

C- Nathan McKinnon- COL

RW- David Pastrňák- BOS

Line 4

LW- Nikolaj Ehlers- WIN

Week 6 Power Rankings

32. Oakland Raiders (30)  31. Arizona Cardinals (31)

30. San Francisco 49ers (32)

ALL THESE TEAMS ARE BULKED TOGETHER. This isn’t the best draft to have a top pick, but none of these team need a QB, which is weird. These will be the teams who we’re talking about come draft time, until then, here’s to seeing if they can spoil anyone’s playoff hopes with an upset. I’ll give it to San Fran they pushed Green Bay to the brink. nfl-oakland-raiders-london-credit-marcus-marsden-3.jpg

29. New York Giants (27)

Odell isn’t happy, but he’s playing with a potential hall of fame QB. I get that he hasn’t been great, but keep it in the locker room. This team has real issues and it doesn’t look like Ben McAdoo was the issue.

28. Indianapolis Colts (28)

Luck did throw four touchdown passes in Sunday’s loss to the Jets, but it was otherwise a game to forget. Luck completed 23 of 43 passes for 301 yards and wasn’t sacked, but he threw three interceptions. This has been a forgettable season in Indy, they stay in games but can’t win, its a vicious cycle.

27. Buffalo Bills (26)

The Bill’s just aren’t good, they’ve somehow squeaked out 2 wins this year, so there’s that. Nathan Peterman poked his head into the game this week with an injury to Allen, he promptly reminded everyone why he was benched in the first place. If Allen is out for an extended period of time, it looks like Buffalo is already preparing another quarterback (Derek Anderson). At this point, another quarterback won’t help. Plus, why don’t they just cut Kelvin Benjamin, guys a cancer, he’s proved it everywhere hes gone.

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (18)

Throw a pass against these guys, I bet you complete it. Winston played very well and the offense seems to be clicking with him back. The defense is just so bad, it doesn’t look good in Tampa.

25. Atlanta Falcons (29)

There’s not much to say about Atlanta, they won in a shootout against an equally bad defense. This doesn’t seem like a turning point game, just a game they were lucky to win. Injuries have plagued this season, now with Freeman out, it just gets worse.

24. Denver Broncos (22)

For the second time in a month, the Broncos gave an undefeated team all it could handle. For the second time in a month, Denver came up short. And now, the Broncos have dropped four in a row after winning their first two. This team is falling apart and fans are calling for Keenum’s head.

23. Detroit Lions (21)

Detroit’s next two games (at Miami, vs. Seattle) appear winnable, and no one’s running away with the NFC North as of yet. It’s possible this team could insert itself into the thick of the division race heading into a big two-week road trip to Minnesota and Chicago.

22. Cleveland Browns (15)

There’s a lot of promise in Cleveland, but this week proved that Rome wasn’t built in a day. There’s tons of upside on this team, but we have to be real that they need time. At least Believeland has something to believe in.

21. New York Jets (23)

The Jets may be contenders sooner than expected, this year doesn’t look to be it, but the amount of points they are putting up looks very promising. Who knows, depending on how everyone else plays this team could be sitting at 9 wins and a wild card, its not the craziest thing that’s ever happened.

20. Tennessee Titans (14)

The Titans had a bye week….oh nevermind. They just didn’t score any points. This team is impossible to figure out. Are they good or not?! Its very weird that they sit tied for first, but that’s how divisions work out.  This team could somehow squeak into the playoffs, just because everyone else is also bad.

19. Houston Texans (25)

Well last week I said the Texans would end up in first place, it happened way before I thought it would. The rest of the division is struggling and the Texans have rattled off 3 straight wins. Things are working great for a team that seemed dead in the water a few weeks ago.

18. Seattle Seahawks (20)

I said it a while ago, the Seahawks know how to figure things out, I just didn’t think this was the year they would do it. They quietly are becoming a threat. One week after a crushing two-point home loss to the Rams, the Seahawks took out their frustrations over that game on a hapless Oakland Raiders squad.

17. Dallas Cowboys (24)

Where did this Cowboys team come from! I wrote them call and considered them dead. They squashed Bortles, which isn’t hard, but them torched…and i mean torched, the “leagues best defense”.  Dak and Zeke looked unstoppable, then Beasley didn’t look half bad either. If these guys keep this up, watch out, especially as Philly struggles.

16. Philadelphia Eagles (17)

The Eagles aren’t perfect—the running game and pass defense remain areas of concern. This year’s squad, at the moment at least, probably isn’t as good as the Eagles team that won Super Bowl LII. But while the Redskins are all over the place, we’re not sure which Cowboys team we will get and the G-Men are just a mess, the Eagles are getting better by the week.

15. Carolina Panthers (7)

Lose the turnover battle, lose the war. This can be an elite NFL team, but 3-0 in turnovers and you’re looking at a loss. They’re looking at a wildcard, so they better figure things out quick. With all the talent on this team, there’s a good chance they will.

14. Jacksonville Jaguars (8)

2 weeks in a row…2..they have zero offense and the defense has been exposed. KC wasn’t a surprise, but Dallas doing what they did, should be a huge wake up call. You have to score points, but you also have to stop people. This team is in danger of letting things spiral out of control. They’re lucky to be in the division they are, that’s the only plus.

13. Pittsburgh Steelers (16)

One more big win, this team is back in the top 10. They are trending in the right direction, if they can stay drama free, the north is theirs. When Conner is hot, this team is among the leagues top 5. So many questions surround this team, so it makes it hard to push them up the list.

12. Green Bay Packers (13)

The team has a Week 7 bye, followed by a murderous two-game road-trip. At Los Angeles Rams. At New England Patriots. They better utilize this week, because the defense looked rough against a trash 49ers team. Rodgers can win any game he is in, that’s the biggest advantage for Green Bay.

11. Miami Dolphins (19)

I backed off on these guys, then Tannehill gets hurt. Season over…maybe not. Brock Osweiler was fantastic and he carved up an elite Bears defense. This could really be a turning point for this team. They continue to stick around the top. The wildcard is realistic for these guys, hell even maybe the division.

10. Chicago Bears (4)

Yea they lost to the team behind them, but the 2 loses have been close. They are still a very solid team who can compete with anyone in the league. The defense had a let down, this is the first one of the season, no reason to panic. The Bears have the Patriots, after that game we can really evaluate this team.

9. Cincinnati Bengals (5)

For the ninth time in their last 10 meetings and sixth straight time, the Steelers emerged victorious. At 4-2, the Bengals are still in first place. But with a trip to Kansas City looming next week and the Saints coming to town a few weeks from now, their days atop the division may be numbered.

8. Washington Redskins (11)

I will say this again, I don’t think they are a top 10 team on paper, but their wins the Panther and Packers are very impressive. They can very much win the division as well, which pushes them back into the top 10. Plus when AP is on, this team looks real good, he obviously the key to the success.

7. Minnesota Vikings (10)

The Vikings just don’t seem to be fully figuring it out, but they’re good enough to win games. If this team fully clicks and stops turning the ball over, they will return to the Super Bowl contenders they should be.

6. Baltimore Ravens (9)

The defense looked stellar, but next week they get New Orleans. Ray Lewis got his rocks off to this one. That will be a true test, but for now this team continues to win games they should. The Ravens have a knack for this type of thing, then all of a sudden…they’re in the playoffs.

5. San Diego Chargers (12)

The only 2 loses were to two of the leagues best teams, these guys are trending up. They may even catch the Chiefs, its crazy but it could happen. Some teams take a few weeks to start clicking and that seems to be San Diego. They deserve to be top 5 and should be considered a Super Bowl threat. We’ve heard this before but for now we need to take them seriously.

4. New Orleans Saints (6)

The Saints had a bye week, but moved up. This is because other teams have been exposed and dropped, you know what you get with the Saints. An average to below average defense and an elite top 5 offense. There’s a trend with some of these top teams, the defense isn’t great but the offenses of the Saints, Pats and Chiefs are so next level it makes you forget about the other side of the ball.

3. New England Patriots (3)

Brady being Brady, Mahomes and the Chiefs gave him everything they could handle. Both team have defensive issues, but who doesn’t like an old fashioned shootout? The match-up with a better defense (Chicago) should be interesting, but good offenses vs good defenses have gone in the favor of offense more often than not this year.

2. KC Chiefs (2)

Yes, they lost to the Pats, but their other wins are much more impressive than the Patriots, so no reason to move them out of the 2 spot. They gave Brady all they could handle, teams have to lose to learn. This very well could become that learning moment, but damn the defense has to figure something out.

1. LA Rams (1)

After six weeks, the Los Angeles Rams are the lone remaining undefeated team in the NFL. This marks the ninth time the Rams have won their first six games in a season. Believe it or not, according to the Fox telecast of the game, no franchise has done it more. Without a doubt this is the leagues best team, but after 2 straight close games, it looks like the Rams first loss has to be around the corner. The thing about the NFL is that any team can win, so the Rams have to stay focused.

How is Nathan Peterman an NFL QB?

Peterman completed six of 12 pass attempts for 61 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Sunday’s 20-13 loss to the Texans. He came in for an injured Josh Allen on Sunday and did exactly what we expected. A career 3 td’s and 9 ints, how is this guys till employed? Apparently Derek Anderson is “learning the play book,” but is that any better? Landry Jones, Jay Cutler, Anderson and most notably Colin Kaepernick were all available. Anderson has the most connection to the offense, but it doesn’t look like anyone can turn this team around. People have been very vocal about this issue. The Bills are wasting one of the leagues best defenses, its so unfortunate, but the way the NFL goes.

Either way Peterman isn’t working out, if he hasn’t had many games then he flat out shouldn’t be on the field. If this is the excuse then he shouldn’t be playing, he should be sitting behind a veteran learning, just like most quarterbacks who don’t have experience.

Which NFL team has the most drama?

A few weeks into the season, some of these teams are one housewife away from a Bravo show. Actually lets be real, some of these teams are already Bravo shows. I’m going to rank the top 5.

5. New England Patriots

“If I’m going to do something at this point, it’s going to be because I enjoy it. The last couple years, a lot of parts about football weren’t enjoyable when they should have been,” Brady said in an epilogue of the “Tom vs. Time.” The drama surrounding the Pats at the beginning of this year was the talk of the NFL. Tom Brady’s personal trainer was banned from the Patriot’s locker room and obviously made Brady angry. Retirement rumors, and the Patriots early struggles really spurned the “Patriots are done” talks, but it seems they have started to figure things out.

4. Dallas Cowboys

Dallas legend Troy Aikman, says Dak Prescott needs to do more, “So, that limits them in some of the things that they’re able to do within their play-action, within their run game to that side, and then as it relates to Dak, yes, he needs to be more accurate with the football.” Says Aikman. Aikman is a god in Dallas, so him criticizing the Cowboys is sure to stir up drama. Then Jason Garrett punts on the 40 in over time and Houston beats them. Rumors of his firing are all over the place and can you really blame fans? Then there’s the big one, Dez Bryant, who’s not with the team anymore but continues to bash the organization. He has kept the Cowboys in the news and not in a good way.

3. Seattle Seahawks

At the beginning of the year Earl Thomas posted a lengthy statement on social media, saying he wants “certainty in regards to the upcoming years of my career,”  Thomas is entering the final year of his current deal signed before the 2014 season. He is scheduled to make $8.5 million in base salary in 2018. Forward to Earl suffering a season ending leg injury, that doesn’t sit well in the locker room. A once dominate Legion of Boom, no longer exist. Kam Chancellor retired, Richard Sherman got shipped out of town, and Earl Thomas is flipping off the sideline. Is anyone in control in Seattle? Players from a former Super Bowl champion team are dropping like flys, this isn’t a good thing, you don’t see that happening with other teams.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers

One of their best players isn’t even showing up! That’s a pretty big deal. Then the league’s best wide receiver said the team should trade him, after fan criticism. People are calling for Mike Tomlin’s head, and the team has been up and down. The key here, if the Steelers keep losing then this drama will continue, but if they figure things out and win…this all goes away, for now. Le’Veon Bell not playing really hurts this team, but if he plays or they trade him could settle this drama very quickly. For now, the Steelers are in turmoil, but they are still a solid team.

1. New York Giants

Where do you begin with the Giants? The offensive line sucks, OBJ is a living temper tantrum, and Eli doesn’t seem to remember he’s an NFL quarterback. At least Saquon Barkley looks like a stud, but if the Giants dont build an offensive line in the next few years then he will be completely wasted. OBJ got paid, but was it too much to pay other player and make this team better? Will they have to spend a first round pick on a QB and wait for lineman to fall in their laps? The difference between this team and the Steelers is that winning heals wounds, but the Giants aren’t winning. This is only going to get worse.

Top 10 Free Agents for MLB Off-Season

We look at the 2018-2019  upcoming free agents, other players may earn more than guys in the top 10, but these guys look to be the most intriguing.

10. D.J. LeMahieu

LeMahieu is one of the most underrated players in baseball, but why? Well, its obvious, he plays in Colorado and still doesn’t have insane power numbers. Although he does have what teams want, he plays great defense and hits for average. He’s looking easily at an 8 figure deal and should be eager to prove his worth outside of Colorado.

Interested Teams: Detroit, Chicago Cubs, Colorado

 9. Eduardo Escobar

After being traded from Minnestoa to Arizona, Escobar really showed how much he could shine. He had a career year and is a solid utility player, he’s 29 and should have a reasonable contract so that a lower market contender can take a run at him. There’s tons of upside here and Escobar could prove to be a huge steal for whoever locks him up.

Interested Teams: Arizona, Colorado, Pittsburgh

8. Yasmani Grandal

He’s no Salvador Perez, Buster Posey, or Yadi Molina, but hes the next best thing. Since none of those guys are going anywhere, Grandal should demand a lot of attention. The veteran is a strong defender who consistently rates well as a pitch-framer, and he has posted an OPS+ of 100 or better in each of his seven seasons.

Interested teams: Seattle, LA, Washington, Boston

7. Nelson Cruz

Cruz and the Mariners have had about as fruitful a partnership as anyone could have imagined. He’s put up a .923 OPS and cranked 155 home runs. Cruz can still serve as a middle-of-the-order bat for a contender, which means a multiyear deal isn’t out of the question. He will get paid because teams love dingers.

Interested Teams: Seattle, Texas, Oakland

6. Michael Brantley

Brantley bounced back huge from an injury season and will likely re-sign with his current team (Cleveland Indians). Money is a crazy thing though, he could easily be tempted away by another team. He delivered a .307/.361/.469 slash line while continuing to display elite contact skills. Other than Harper, Brantley is the best outfield free agent available, so the teams that Harper spurns, will want to throw a lot of money his way.

Interested Teams: Cleveland, New York Yankees, Seattle, San Francisco

5. Dallas Keuchel

Dallas is the 2nd best starting pitcher available this off season, so he will likely wait for Corbin to sign. The guy won a Cy Young in 2015, while he hasn’t lived up to that season, he’s still good. He will demand a good amount of cash, but he’s on the wrong side of 30. A 3-4 year deal is reasonable.

Interested Teams: Houston, Washington, New York Yankees, LA Dodgers, Seattle

4. Craig Kimbrel

Kimbrel is in line for a big pay day, because closers have been cleaning up. He won’t get Chapman money, because he has seen a slight decline. Major League baseball is a wild place, don’t be surprised to see him get way more than Chapman, teams get desperate. He’s a 7 time all star, teams wont forget that.

Interested Teams: Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland

3. Patrick Corbin

He’s slated to be the top starter on the market, as he’ll be 29 and coming off an All-Star season that’s currently highlighted by a 3.31 ERA and 11.1 strikeouts per nine innings.  Corbin being younger than Darvish was when he signed, the southpaw could see his offers creep toward $150 million.

Interested Teams: Houston, Washington, New York Yankees, LA Dodgers, Seattle, Arizona

2. Manny Machado

Obviously, Machado is one of the 2 big prizes of this group. At midseason, it looked like he might be in position to surpass Bryce Harper as the top-earning free agent in this class, though a superb second half from Harper and Machado’s return to earth offensively after the All-Star break have substantially reduced the chances of that happening. Make no mistake, though, Machado will get a massive deal that very well could be in excess of seven years if he so desires.

Interested Teams: New York Yankees, Philadelphia, San Diego, LA Dodgers

1. Bryce Harper

Harper still looms as the prize of this free-agent class, and the only questions are how much money and how many years he’ll get. Will he become baseball’s first $400 million player, as so many have predicted for years? It seems less likely than ever considering his horrid first-half slump and defensive regression, but it’s still within the realm of possibilities, especially if a team like the Phillies or Giants is really desperate to vault itself back into World Series contention next season.

Interested Teams: San Francisco, Philadelphia, New York Yankees, St. Louis, Washington,  Chicago Cubs

Its the Season…for Overreacting About Your Team

Maybe the best part about hockey season is the stupid ass fans, after one game teams are already booing. Last night during the St. Louis Blues game, fans started booing Jake Allen, after multiple defensive let downs. Boston fans already are calling for a goalie controversy after Halak got a shutout and Rask allowed 5 goals in the season opener.  Vegas fans have seemingly already turned their backs on Marc-Ande after he got pulled., but he obviously went out on the strip the night before with Gritty, cut the dude a break. There’s more than just goalie over reactions, William Nylander is getting attacked by Leafs fans for not signing a new contract and “taking a discount,” but as we’ve seen in football, these guys have to get paid while they can because you never know when an injury can end your career. Minnesota fans roasted their team after losing to Colorado and have deemed the season a failure.

I have a word of advice for all these “experts”….SHUT THE HELL UP, your hot takes don’t mean shit and no one cares. I don’t care if you’ve played hockey before either, “As a former player blah blah blah.” Oh you played hockey? What team did you play for?

IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT TEAM YOU PLAYED FOR!! Stick to beer league and fantasy hockey, you pigeons.

Then to all of you who never played and don’t even know what icing is, just some input for ya. Just because the goalie lets in a goal, doesn’t mean its his fault, sometimes the defense sucks. Get your head out of your ass and just enjoy the game.
